About The Pen Place

The Pen Place has been selling quality pens in South County Dublin for more than 40 years. We are a specialist shop, so the range goes well beyond what a general stationer keeps, and there is always someone on hand who knows it. You will find fountain pens, rollerballs and ballpoints from A.T. Cross, Sheaffer, Pelikan, Parker, Waterman, Lamy, Montegrappa, Caran d'Ache, Mont Blanc and Fisher Space Pen.

Inks are a big part of what we do. We stock more than 200 fountain pen ink colours, including the complete Diamine range, and over 30 shades of blue on their own. Whatever colour you write in, and whatever paper you use, we can usually match it.

We engrave pens in the shop, usually the same day, so a name or a few words can be added to mark an occasion. It is a popular choice for a christening, a graduation, a wedding, a retirement or a milestone birthday. A pen someone uses every day, with their name on it, tends to get kept.

If you are after something rarer, we carry special and limited-edition pens from makers like Mont Blanc and Graf von Faber-Castell. Past editions have included a Graf von Faber-Castell pen made with mammoth ivory, petrified wood and Siberian jade. These are the pens you buy once and hand on.
